Do It Without You 12

  • Folklore 186 Hackney Road London, England, E2 7QL United Kingdom (map)

We return to Folklore, Hoxton on Tuesday 18th March 2025 for a night of live music discovery with three hot new kids on the block.

Feminine rage, revenge, and supernatural horrors. Writing songs to be chanted around a fire under a full moon, ugly ozo offers the soundtrack to your ritual. Hailing from the Isle of Wight, ugly ozo (the self-produced brainchild of Jess Baker) has been creating ‘doom-gaze’ music since 2019, writing about themes ranging from Bob Lazar and the conspiracies at Area 51, to dreams of liberation through making out with the devil. Consisting of two sisters; lead guitarist and vocalist Jess, and her younger sister Boo on bass; ugly ozo will leave you feeling empowered, bewitched, and ultimately a bit freaked out.

Randy is Joel Knight, Joshua Belshaw, Judah and Sam Hooper—four brothers from the North. After a few gigs, their chemistry was undeniable, and Randy was born. This ‘New-Wave’ British indie band channels 90s Brit-pop with music rooted in the grit and humour of Northern life. In Blackpool, where grey skies meet grey seas, Randy finds beauty in the ordinary. Their alt-pop/indie rock sound blends bright riffs, sharp lyrics, and sticky hooks, creating relatable, deeply personal songs. They’re not chasing gold—they’re proving silver can shine just as bright.

Bino Bames is 19 years old and already carrying the weight of a lifetime. Born Gino James Rayos in the chaos of Las Vegas, he left home at 15, running from everything that was going to swallow him whole. "I didn’t want to be stuck in the same place," he says. "I wanted to make something of myself." His influences? Think Syd Barrett, Elliott Smith, and Daniel Johnston—free thinkers who bled out their souls on their records, no filter. Bino doesn’t just want you to hear his music; he wants you to feel it. As he prepares to unleash his first official music to the world in 2025, there’s only one thing you need to know: Bino Bames is not here to follow the rules. He’s here to break them.
