Do It Without You takes over Folklore with Pem, Zander, CHAMELEON, Emmeline and Juju on Tuesday 10 October 2023 for an eclectic night of brand new music at Folklore in Hoxton on 10th October!
Unleashing melodic storms with every song, the 24-year-old solo artist Juju casts swirling mixes of alt-rock, emotive dark pop and electrically charged vocals. Echoes of influences conjure up a blend of PJ Harvey's grit, Kate Bush's ethereal charm and Florence + The Machine's raw power.
Emmeline is navigating her own sonic aesthetic as a lyrical polymath, fierce experimentalist and storyteller. Having grown up in a small village in West Yorkshire alongside her father, a poet and playwright, and her mother, who works in radio drama, she has always been fascinated by the power of words. Emmeline and Fraser T Smith have created music together at a breakneck pace, leveling up each other's limitations at every turn. Her sophomore EP 'Small-Town Girls and Soft Summer Nights' is out now on 70 Hz Recordings.
Making his start in music as a producer for the likes of Malaki and Lucy McWilliams,
CHAMELEON has since stepped into the foreground as a solo artist. A multi-instrumentalist, he produces and records all of his own work, with inspiration from indie, soul, alternative and pop.
With music from his debut project ready to be released to the world, Zander is the future artist you need to hear before anyone else.
Pem is the project of Bristol based musician Emily Perry. Pem’s haunting voice floats and dances up and over ethereal arrangements and intricate taletelling, lulling listeners into warm hazes of vulnerable contemplation. In 2023 Pem moved to Bristol and immediately made a name for herself. She opened the headline stage at Ritual Union festival, was long-listed for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition and Greenman Rising and landed slots playing amongst The Last Dinner Party, Langkamer and Rozi Plain.
